Workers Screening Check
🛡️ NDIS Worker Screening Check (WSC)
The NDIS Worker Screening Check is a background check to make sure workers are safe to support people with disability. It looks at a person’s history to see if they could be a risk.
To deliver NDIS services, all staff (including you) must pass the NDIS Worker Screening Check. This ensures safety, trust, and compliance.
This page will show you exactly how to:
✅ Apply for access to the national WSC database
✅ Apply for your own NDIS Worker Screening Check
✅ Understand how it works and what it means for your business
✅ Get help from your state’s screening unit
🔑 Step 1: Apply for Access to the Screening Database (Before the Check)
Before anyone in your team can apply for their WSC, your organisation must request access to the NDIS Worker Screening Database.
When you apply, you’ll:
Be issued a unique code (this is used by you and your team during their checks)
Nominate a Primary Contact (can be you or a team member)
The Primary Contact will:
Receive email alerts about each worker’s screening status
Be asked to verify staff when they apply for their own WSC
Become the Authorised Access Delegate, managing database access for your organisation
